General Overview

The Wire Transfer Specialist performs operational support within the Wire Transfer Department, processing domestic and international wire transfers while ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracy in all transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and adherence to established deadlines and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Wire Processing: Execute domestic and international wire transfers efficiently, adhering to cutoff times.

Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with Federal Reserve, OFAC, and Regulation E requirements.

Transaction Monitoring: Track wire statuses, secure necessary approvals, and resolve discrepancies.

Reconciliation: Conduct daily reconciliations of wire transactions and related accounts.

Research & Resolution: Investigate disputes or suspicious activity, ensuring regulatory adherence.

Customer Support: Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Clerical Tasks: Handle data entry, scanning, and maintain accurate documentation.

Special Projects: Participate in audits, disaster recovery planning, and other initiatives.

Training: Support and train team members as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Preferred:

• Experience in wire transfer processing or financial operations.
• Familiarity with BSA, AML, and OFAC compliance.
