Position Overview:
Transitioning a legacy app that is 30 yrs old they will be working with. Not replicating, replacing.
This analyst should be able to understand how to view business rules, understand how the data connectivity works in the systems they support. Do the source systems get updated real time. These types of thinking's they need to bring to the table.
Do Systems Analysis, understand the data, be able to challenge the requirement or help business get situated with the real situation.
BA puts the stories together or business process flows together . Because of the complexity of the product and size of it. So having quality story, epic and task creation would give a developer much of an understanding of the product development. Need someone that can do this from a requirements creation perspective.
Liaison between the Functional and Tech teams. Create Functional docs but also be able to translate those into technical specifications the developers can work to develop against. This is a big skill they must have.
Process Flows are so detailed. If we need to tweak it we tweak it. WE are learning as we go. Areas we don't know everything. We change things based off business inputs. Must be adaptable to that type of environment.
Process flows are functional and technical. Some Show system integrations. If I must build an integration between A & B, this is what would happen type of flow example.
This person will Capture Epics and Stories and make Tech specs or requirements.
Analyst goes into the data and identify gaps. Developer comes in puts the code to that.
Systems Analyst - SQL to query to database and go to existing legacy platforms. Understand the ins and outs from Data side.
