Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Plant Supervisor will support and coordinate activities of plant operators engaged in producing and repackaging compressed and liquid gases into cylinders.
Operate and safely maintain a high pressure gas repackaging plant.
Supports the Plant Manager in supervising, training, and evaluating the performance of all plant operators.
Conduct periodic checks of the generation plant for safe and efficient operation.
Assigns job tasks to plant operators according to customer needs, current stock levels and workers' expertise.
Analyze production schedules and estimates man-hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Conducts or assures emergency training drills and exercises are performed and documented.
Resolve problems associated with plant operation.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
Maintain neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
2+ years of production experience, preferably in our industry or a manufacturing or distribution environment, plus experience supervising, motivating and leading other associates.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to substitute for plant technicians at each position.
Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work varied shifts including some overtime, if necessary.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 degrees.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to routinely lift 25 - 60 lbs.
Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.
Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.
