Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Meet and maintain bidding accuracy and bidding schedules

2. Evaluate & understand bid specifications and construction drawings

3. Attend pre-bid meetings when necessary

4. Prepare conceptual estimates, and push the evolution of the construction

documents as necessary

5. Prepare accurate material quantity takeoffs, as required.

6. Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors/suppliers for competitive

unit costs of labor, material, and equipment

7. Solicit pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontractors, as necessary

8. Contract review, negotiations, and contract agreement terms and conditions

9. Schedule, conduct, and/or attend pre-construction handoff meetings for all

estimated projects, prior to construction start.

10.Establish and communicate expectations and accountability necessary for project

success.

11. Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma/GED required.

2. Degree in management or previous experience in a related field preferred.

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project estimating software.

4. Highly organized and able to multitask.

5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
