Initial 6-9 month contract w/ possibility to convert full time
Overview
The PV Engineer will perform product verification activities including test execution, protocol/plan development, data collection/analysis, and test fixture design. Testing will be coordinated and executed in conjunction with our customer partners in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of leading technical product verification activities and have strong communication skills to interface directly with the customer.
Job Responsibilities
Manage tests from setup through execution; communicate status with PV manager and customer.
Collect and Analyze test data, and document in test reports; share results with the team to understand failures
Support text fixture design for test optimization/efficiency/modularity
Root cause investigation of technical issues
Be customer facing and interface with the customer's technical team
Required Expertise
Familiarity with setting up and running Test Chambers (e.g., EMC, Environmental, Thermal, Shock/Vibe, etc.)
Root cause analysis and recreation of failure mode.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, with hands-on experience using standard laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters (DMMs).
Inherent curiosity to diagnose and resolve issues, with proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting technical problems.
Familiarity with various sensors, their functions, and methods of interaction.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, effectively communicating with external teams to align and prioritize work when resources are limited.
Nice to haves:
Familiarity of Safety/ Electromechanical Standards for appliances
Education and Work History Requirements
BS in ME or EE engineering is preferred
At least 7+ years of relevant experience in product verification, preferably in appliances
