Job Description:

The mission of Alum Rock Counseling Center (ARCC) is to heal families and inspire youth to reach their full potential. For 50 years, ARCC has provided a wide range of behavioral health counseling and school-based support, designed to promote health equity & educational equity, and ensure that high-risk youth stay safe, in school, and drug & violence free. The agency supports a predominantly Latinx (83%) population in underserved schools and neighborhoods throughout Santa Clara County with a focus on the high-need area of East and Central San Jose. ARCC staff provide services to youth and caregivers who otherwise might struggle to afford and/or access quality care. In 2023-24, the agency served 5,000+ individuals, through 13 different programs, including individual and family counseling, substance use prevention education, youth mentoring, family reunification, parent training/support, and services in 30+ high-need schools.

We have 85 full-time employees and over 25 dedicated volunteers that make our program run. POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of Alum Rock Counseling Center's (ARCC) Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical supervision to staff assigned to multiple programs, including but not limited to: Outpatient, SLS, ECMH, CSU, Prevention and Early Intervention, and MSW/MFT, PCC Associates/Trainees. ARCC services target a diverse population of children 0-21, adolescents, and families.

Duties:
Follow the Department of Mental Health's, BBS, and ARCC's policies and procedures, provide weekly individual and group supervision to associates/trainees and counselors who perform case management, crisis intervention/response, aftercare, home visitation, prevention, and therapy servicesReview and ensure the quality of client charts, including approval of progress notes, assessments, and treatment plansMonitor client care to ensure compliance with program outcomes, effective treatment, and service deliveryMonitor client care to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and ethics and quality servicesProvide consultation to agency staff on behavioral health best practices and Act as a field instructor for MSW/MFT interns on field practicum assignments, providing recruitment, assessment, and evaluation activities, and complying with expectations, standards, and practices as required by the assigning universityAssist Clinical Director in identification, implementation, and continuous improvement of agency's training programAssist Clinical Director in the development of clinical supervision protocols Assist in monthly and/or annual audits of program charts as neededAssist in appropriate tracking of compliance and punctuality in completion of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and dischargesAttend training sessions provided by funding sources to ensure continuous improvement, fidelity to the program, and professional growthProvide on call, consultation as neededKnowledge and practice of Reflective Practice SupervisionComplete requirements for 5150 evaluator and consultantParticipation in Policy and Procedure workgroupsCollaborate and attend the Intern Collaborative meetingsCollaborate with Program Managers and Psychiatrist for best practicesCollaborate with QA staff to better documentation standardsOther related duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:
CA LCSW or LMFT/LPCC and two years clinical supervision experience (PREFERRED)Minimum three years of clinical experience with children, youth, and families, preferably in a community-based settingThree years of experience working in Medi-Cal driven environment (PREFERRED)Excellence in Medi-Cal documentationProven history of extreme attention to detail, punctuality in reviewing, commenting, correcting, and approving Medi-Cal documentationKnowledge and understanding of diagnosis, clinical terminology, and best practiceExperience and working knowledge of Evidence Based Practices including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the ability to supervise to the fidelity of each Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skillsBilingual English/Spanish skills a plus, but not requiredMust have knowledge and excellent practice of CA law and ethics for MSWs, MFTs, and PCCsExperience working with low-income and ethnic minority populations strongly desiredExperience with culturally diverse high-risk families, providing short-term counseling and case management servicesExperience working with a wide variety of clients ages 0-21 and their familiesExperience providing individual, group, family, and collateral sessions with parentsExperience working within various systems: Probation, Department of Family and Childrens Services (DFCS), and EducationExperience working in and leading crisis intervention effortsKnowledge, practice, and implementation of Trauma Informed PracticesA valid CA drivers license, and automobile for agency travelDOJ Fingerprinting and TB test requiredEffective verbal and written communication skills;Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Able to work independently and as a positive member of a team;Fingerprinting and background check as required by the Department of JusticeValid CA drivers license, an automobile for agency travel, and proof of current auto insuranceTB test clearance required every 2 yearsCOVID19 vaccination and booster, highly recommended.
