Purpose of Job:Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the enterprise desktop and mobile environment. This position is for an experienced, self-motivated individual to participate in projects and perform the daily execution of processes, operations, and support activities for client technologies.
Job Duties:
Serves as an escalation point for desktop and mobile support related issues.
Plans, creates, tests, deploys, and maintains enterprise desktop and mobile images, application packaging, scripting configuration, and final end user personalization.
Appropriately uses group policy, scripting, imaging, desktop utilities, and MSI packaging technologies to achieve automation, performance, flexibility, stability, recovery, and security goals.
Deploy, upgrade, and maintain hardware, peripherals, and software applications to ensure optimal system performance.
Responsible for desktop and mobile application compatibility, integration and security, and standardization of client features.
Maintains all operating software service packs, patches, and critical updates through various delivery mechanisms.
Ensures that projects are completed according to the specifications and schedules and that project goals/progress are properly documented.
Works with other members of the team, vendors, and contract support to facilitate problem resolutions and project participation.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or three years in related work experience is required.
Two or more years of desktop system administration, supporting desktop applications, and supporting desktop hardware is required.
Also required are experience working with desktop and mobile imaging and application deployment software (e.g. Microsoft SCCM and MaaS360), experience working with mobile operating systems (e.g. iOS and Android), and advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Networking, and Security.
A bachelor’s degree may substitute for required experience.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor to interact successfully with staff at all levels.
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to meet PBV’s driving guidelines.
Must be able to travel up to 80%.
Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
