Job Description:

Position Description

Individual will be responsible for various joint interest accounting activities for the company. Specific job duties to include:

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Calculate monthly journal entries allowed per the JOA


• Monthly accrual calculations


• Joint Interest Billing system processing


• Collection and analysis of joint interest accounts receivable


• Income statement variance analysis of operating expenses


• Balance sheet account reconciliation


• Resolution of working interest owner inquiries


• Completion of ad hoc projects as required

Position Requirements

Education:

• BS/BA in Accounting/Finance is a plus

Experience/ Specific Knowledge:

• 5 + years Oil & Gas Joint Venture Accounting


• Experience and knowledge of Lawson and Enertia

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

• Strong knowledge of Joint Interest accounting and COPAS guidelines


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel


• Exhibit high degree of initiative and ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision


• Excellent analytical skills

Qualifications:

• This position requires a candidate that possesses both strong analytical and communication skills, is self-motivated, results driven and detail oriented. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Specific knowledge of Enertia and Lawson accounting systems is preferred.
