Location: Elmira (Town), NY

Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $92,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Operations Manager for their Food Manufacturing facility near Elmyra NY. This is a smaller facility that has benefited from significant capital investment. They have increased the production capacity of this plant and need a strong leader who can work with the Plant Manager. This position will have emphasis on all areas of operations including planning / scheduling, safety, contiguous improvement, meeting KPI's & quality compliance.

Job Responsibilities:


• Schedule production runs to ensure orders are shipped promptly.

• Coordinate with department managers to ensure quality, on-time production and delivery.

• Coordinate with the corporate procurement team to order ingredients and product packaging. Assist with any discrepancies.

• Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams.

• Assist the Plant Manager in facility projects and day-to-day operations.

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with cGMP standards.

• Evaluate equipment and facility upgrades to support continuous improvement.

• Assist in hiring and training production team members.

• Ensure that all Safety procedures and policies are being followed.

• Ensure that all Food Safety and Quality cGMP's and policies are being followed.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.



Qualifications/Requirements:


• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

• 5 plus years' experience of leadership role within supply chain planning or supervision of manufacturing facility

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities

• Working knowledge of production equipment

• Proactive problem solving skills
