Qualifications



RS&H is currently seeking an Airfield Engineering Associate III to join our Aviation Practice in Los Angeles, CA!

You will have an opportunity to advance your career and professional development as the Project Manager, Project Engineer or engineering support (dependent upon experience) on airport projects. You will have the opportunity to lead, develop and deliver projects of varying sizes and complexity, initiate and maintain client contact and assist the team in winning the work.

Activities include the geometric design of runways, taxiways, and roadways; asphalt and concrete pavement design; stormwater and utility infrastructure design; coordination with airports, airlines, permitting agencies and other tenants; and construction administration/management. The successful Airfield Engineer Associate III applicant will work locally at RS&H’s Los Angeles office to perform design and project management activities in support of airside and landside civil engineering projects.

Related tasks include:

  • Management of discipline and small multidisciplinary teams
  • Design of runways, taxiways, aprons and roadways
  • Stormwater and utility infrastructure design
  • Pavement design and assessment
  • Aircraft parking layout and passenger boarding bridge modeling
  • Coordination with airports, airlines, FAA and permitting agencies
  • Construction management and inspection
  • Adherence to company and project contractual requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET university
  • Experience with land development, roadway or civil aviation design infrastructure
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience
  • California Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months required
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Typical salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $90,000.00 - $106,000.00 Annually and commensurate with experience relative to the position.
