Your Role
The Head of Technical Process Development will lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for new products across five facilities within our operations in St. Louis, MO. This role demands a highly entrepreneurial mindset, characterized by innovation, agility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in process engineering and a deep understanding of production methodologies, coupled with a drive to identify and seize new opportunities that enhance our manufacturing capabilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, the ability to effectively engage customers is essential to ensure that processes are not only efficient and scalable but also adaptable to changing market demands and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes with an entrepreneurial focus on innovation and market needs.
Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality, while exploring new technologies and methodologies.
Collaborate with Commercial Project teams, R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless transitions from development to manufacturing.
Conduct process feasibility studies and risk assessments with a forward-thinking approach to mitigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
Monitor process performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Train and mentor team members on process development techniques and best practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Manage project timelines and budgets effectively
This will be a hybrid role based out of St. Louis, MO.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in process development or manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques and methodologies
Experience with regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think outside the box.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment and inspire others.
Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling software, leveraging data to drive innovative solutions.
