Job Title: Corporate Communications Associate

Reports to: Manager, Global Communications

Location: Goleta, CA or Santa Barbara/LA County

The Role

We're looking for a self-motivated Corporate Communications Associate to support internal communications as part of our growing Global Communications team. You'll support multiple clients, including our Global Supply Chain (which oversees our distribution centers), HR, IT, Finance, DTC, and other enterprise departments as needed. You will be responsible for coordinating internal stakeholder relationships, organizing project timelines and deliverables, and working in tandem with the Corporate Brand Lead to plan and execute integrated communication campaigns that deliver company and employee related information, news, surveys, pulse checks, and stories across the business, at global and regional levels.

This person will be a client-facing organizational backbone, responsible for strengthening and evolving communication channels, with a balanced mix of email, digital signage, micro-sites, printed materials, video, company calendars, and third-party platforms. The role will strategize and oversee the collaboration between internal partners, delivering information efficiently, accurately, and on time.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

COORDINATING INTERNAL CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS AND PROJECTS


  • Meet frequently with internal clients to identify communications needs

  • Field requests and assess priority and scope level, in conjunction with Global Communications Manager

  • Refine Comms Team project intake process by: crafting project briefs, sending status updates to project team, communicating timelines and deliverables

  • Provide quarterly analytics report on all measurable channels to Global Comms team and clients when applicable

  • Lead meetings with communications partners

REFINING AND IMPLEMENTING INTERNAL COMMUNICATION PLANS, INCLUDING:


  • Work closely with the Global Communications Manager and Corporate Brand Lead to build and execute on a variety of communications campaigns and projects

  • Ensure project documentation

  • Assist with timeline and deliverables

  • Maintain communications calendar

  • Ideate and suggest strategic communications tactics to get the right information to the right audience

  • Create action plans based on the insights received


CONCEPTUALIZE, WRITE, EDIT, DESIGN, AND FORMATTING AND FORMAT CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

  • Collaborate with the Global Communications Team to conceptualize, write, and edit communication assets including presentations, speaking points, web copy, emails, invitations, print assets, and video scripts

  • Provide copy, copy edits and feedback on communications

  • Design small graphic elements like posters, flyers, PPTs, and digital signage

  • Engage language translation service if need be, to translate communications to Spanish and other languages.

STREAMLINING COMMUNICATIONS PROCESSES AND CHANNELS


  • Administrate email platform (Cerkl) and hybrid events platform (Cvent), including managing vendor relationships

  • Help develop processes and governance to keep communications tools orderly and effective and reduce manual busywork

  • Oversees day to day operations, implementation, and organization of internal communications platforms such as Butterfly.ai, Cerkl, the HUB, and digital signage

  • Maintain accurate and efficient audience distribution lists

  • You are comfortable writing and designing engaging short form and long form content, both copy and graphics

  • You are versatile and able to adapt to the brand voice of the company and style that is appropriate for the content and audience

  • You enjoy working hard with a smart and talented team and are comfortable speaking up and making your opinion heard.

  • You are a creative, flexible problem solver who loves to connect with many kinds of people

We'd love to hear from people with

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, PR, Organizational Psychology, or related field - or 4 years of equivalent experience

Work Experience:


  • 3+ years of communications, project management, or production experience in corporate communications, journalism, publishing, public relations, marketing or related field

  • Familiarity with platform management for web and email

  • Comfortability with both copywriting and simple graphic design

  • Has managed cross-functional projects

  • Ability to lead and drive discussions/conversations with executives

$30 - $32/hour.

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
