Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Security Manager to oversee and manage security operations for multiple clients, primarily in northern Virginia. This is a full-time, immediate hire position offering competitive compensation and benefits. The selected candidate will be responsible for security management duties, including performing roles such as Facility Security Officer (FSO), ITPSO, and CPSO, while ensuring compliance with government regulations and security protocols.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO), ITPSO, and CPSO for various clients, primarily in northern Virginia.
Oversee and manage DD 254's, personnel clearances, and other security documentation.
Utilize DISS, NISS, and NBIS accounts to track and manage personnel security and clearances.
Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations, including federal laws and executive orders related to security management.
Assist in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities.
Coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, to support security efforts.
Provide guidance and training to staff and clients regarding security protocols and compliance requirements.
Travel as needed to support client operations in the National Capitol Region.
Qualifications
Must possess and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Personnel Security Clearance with SCI Access Eligibility.
At least 5 years of applicable experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), with a strong background working with the Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) and other government agencies.
Extensive experience with DISS, NISS, and NBIS accounts for personnel security and clearance management.
Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience in a related field.
Current FSO Certification for Possessing Facilities.
Working knowledge of applicable federal laws, executive orders, directives, and regulations, including CFR 32, Rule 5305, and Executive Orders.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to assess, detect, and resolve security-related issues efficiently and effectively.
Nice to Haves:
NCMS ISP® Certification.
Completion of relevant training courses from the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Security Training, Education, and Professionalism Portal (STEPP), including:
FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum
Insider Threat Program training
Insider Threat Awareness training
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) training
