Job Description:

Our Marketing Specialist will handle various marketing tasks, including content creation and promotion, managing brand presence at industry events, executing campaign strategies, and supporting our sales teams. Our ideal candidate is an experienced copywriter with a proven ability to craft compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences and supports campaign goals. This person will also be responsible for project management for select key service lines within the business (including campaign execution, partnerships with business development leaders, etc.).


The successful candidate must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and will report directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager. This candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with senior staff and key business line leaders and will help implement marketing strategy with respective business line marketing partners. In addition, the successful candidate will be exceedingly well-organized, flexible, and enjoy the organizational challenges of supporting a fast-paced work environment.


Our specialist should be comfortable translating technical and scientific information into clear, engaging materials. Support and education will be available from the larger marketing team and subject matter experts, but a successful candidate will also need to be willing to proactively engage in their own research and tap internal resources for understanding of the material.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE




Content and Digital Marketing Support



  • Work with business development leads to execute successful content marketing programs, including editorial calendar development, project management to support annual business line goals, and independent research.


  • Develop, manage, and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns, including planning, content creation, implementation, and post-campaign analysis.


  • Create high-quality, persuasive copy for a variety of platforms including web content, e-communications, case studies, and social media.


  • Support execution of the marketing strategy and business line marketing plans directed by the Marketing Manager.


  • Use email marketing and inbound marketing automation best practices to support business development within HubSpot.


  • Work with graphic designer to transform draft technical PowerPoint presentations into polished assets by applying design best practices and our internal marketing guidelines.


  • Support business line participation in events and webinars, including event communications (pre- and post-e-marketing campaigns), collateral development, signage, graphics and promotional materials, and booth content with respective internal event coordinators and BD team.


  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as assigned.



Business Development Team Support



  • Work closely with a highly experienced team of environmental professionals who come together to understand clients and communicate our value proposition.


  • Lead and assist market research (i.e., uncovering client concerns and preferences, analyzing the competition) to inform the marketing strategy.


  • Draft, review, and edit client-focused content to ensure clarity, engagement, and consistency in tone, positioning the company as an industry leader.


  • Select or recommend use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, and illustrations or charts to amplify or clarify client-facing collateral.


  • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CREDENTIALS



  • 3 to 5 years marketing-related experience with demonstrated expertise in copywriting and campaign tactic management, preferably in the professional services industry


  • Exceptional copywriting and content development skills with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of campaign work


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any concentration from an accredited university in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English


  • Sciences degrees highly encouraged to apply


  • Project management experience with excellent organizational and planning skills


  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities


  • Knowledge and understanding of current marketing trends


  • Familiarity with key marketing software, including HubSpot, Asana, Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva


  • Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing, web content management systems (i.e. WordPress), and social media


  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office Suite


  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and resiliency to operate in a dynamic work environment



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language


  • Technological savviness is required


  • Excellent creative problem-solving and analytical skills with an attention to detail


  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a matrix reporting structure


  • Self-directed


  • Able to establish priorities and work independently


  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and the highest degree of professionalism


  • Available for travel when required (minimal)


  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines


  • Understand and follow written and verbal directions


  • Ability to work overtime as required


  • Current, valid, unrestricted driver's license (required)
