Title: Facility Sanitation

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Job Summary

Required to perform tasks involved in ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and healthy for all employees. Must follow Altor Solutions' standards for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality and Production in an efficient and safe manner.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas

· Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain a high level of cleanliness

· Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure that all surfaces are properly sanitized

· Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished

· Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately

· Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

· Maintains good housekeeping and assures a neat and organized work area at all times

· Required to wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards.

· Must be able to work assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after hour meetings as needed.

  • Must be able to communicate with co-workers and leadership chain about any safety issues, housekeeping issues, quality issues and production issues.
  • Follow plant specified job training guideline.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3 – 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous experience in facility sanitation or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers; talk and hear. Frequently required to reach, bend, squat, stretch, and twist. Frequently lift and/or carry bulky objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform duties.


Work Environment

The work environment is typical of most manufacturing environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually high with ear protection required. Will work in a dusty and sometimes wet environment as well as cold/hot/humid areas based on the seasons.
