Maps Credit Union seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Administrator to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the design, implementation, and support of network systems, with a focus on high availability and security.
Adhere to established network closet standards and assist with the application of this standard.
Monitor and maintain network operations, including troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues.
Support the administration of Fortinet firewalls and switches, Aruba ClearPass, Meraki Access Points, and Azure environments.
Document and monitor network devices and configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
Collaborate with Maps team members to support various network projects and initiatives.
Complete assigned training to improve skills and keep abreast of best practices.
Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to enhance job performance and network operations.
Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance-related policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
1 to 2 years of experience in Networking or Helpdesk.
An understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be bondable.
Must submit to an annual background investigative report initiated by the Credit Union. The investigative report will include credit and criminal review, and results must meet the minimum standards established by the Credit Union in its hiring practices.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Experience with Fortinet firewalls and switches, Aruba ClearPass, Meraki Access Points, and Azure is desirable.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Experience working in a regulated industry is beneficial.
Starting exempt pay range:$80,000 - $92,000 per year.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, business hours with occasional after-hours work to accommodate business needs. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule which includes 2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week.
