Full-Time/Part-Time: On-Call
Description:
Aquila's Fitness Specialist (As-Needed) assists members in safe and effective exercise and performs a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health/fitness center. This position is a part-time, as-needed basis to provide coverage at our corporate fitness center.
The pay rate for this position is $24.04/hour and the work hours are as-needed

As a Fitness Specialist, your responsibilities include:
Supervise exercise areas
Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques
Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations
Aid members - spotting and equipment usage
Explain all equipment
Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
Adhere to client’s policies and procedures
Attend staff meetings
Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
Perform daily administrative duties
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree Kinesiology, Exercise Science or in related health/fitness field
Active NCCA accredited national fitness certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, NCSF, NSCA or other NCCA accredited certification)
Active CPR certification
1+ year experience in supervising adults during exercises
Must be a U.S. Citizen as this is a government agency
