Position Summary:
The Senior Forecast Analyst is responsible for providing financial/data modeling, forecasting, revenue projections and analysis for various business units. This role will monitor current and historical sales reporting and incorporate additional inputs from the Sales, Product Development, and Marketing teams to meet planned financial goals for sales, turnover, margin, and in-stock rates. In this role you would be responsible for the continuous improvement in our forecasting efforts and trying to solve the ongoing puzzle of ensuring we have the right inventory to serve our ever-evolving customer trends. This position requires an individual who is a thoughtful, resourceful, positive communicator with a strong interest in data science and always-evolving analytics that enjoys solving problems under his or her own initiative to help plan our global inventory needs.
Responsibilities:
Work with the sales organization and customers on a regular basis to forecast business requirements at the product level.
Monitor trends in actual sales demand to identify opportunities where we should apply additional focus to improve accuracy and inventory turns.
Lead development and implementation of financial modeling changes to improve accuracy.
Utilize the forecast system to create an accurate SKU level demand forecast to provide input for procurement of raw materials and production of finished goods.
Consult with management and/or senior leadership in the collaboration process to provide a rolling twelve-month view for sales, operations, marketing, and product development.
Assist in monthly financial review and reporting.
Assist in the development of annual budgets.
Assist in physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
Maintain real time and accurate records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: BA or BS college degree in business, finance, or related fields of study.
3-5 years' experience in demand planning or inventory/sales forecasting.
Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail and meet deadlines.
Strong bias for action with ability to prioritize, multi-task, follow-up, and execute responsivities on-time.
Knowledge of US Customs import requirements and processes is a plus.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel (Advanced Formulas, Tables & Formatting, Conditional Formatting, Advanced Charting, Pivot tables & Pivot Reporting, VLOOKUP, etc).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
SO99+, Atlas and D365 experience is a plus.
