About the Role and about You:
The A&P Mechanic position is based out of Hawthorne, CA. The A&P mechanic will inspect, service and repair airplanes to ensure they're operating correctly and safely. A mechanic is responsible for ensuring that airplanes get regular maintenance and that any problems are fixed correctly, based on the DOM’s schedule. He or she will make sure that every aircraft is meticulously maintained, presentable and safe for flight.

What you will do:
Perform Maintenance on Company owned and managed Aircraft by DOM’s approval
Process to secure best parts for value, new, overhauled, or repair of current part, taking into account part price and aircraft downtime
Work hand and hand with Director of Safety and Director of Maintenance to ensure process are in place and used to improve operations and maintain IS-BAO / ARGUS Platinum / Air charter Safety Foundation
Monitor maintenance status reports and develop work packages to maintain aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule and return to service in accordance with company procedures and perinate FAR’s
Ensure that all necessary documents pertaining to the release of an aircraft from a maintenance event have been properly completed prior to flight
Assess and manage equipment/parts inventory in order to properly maintain aircraft by ordering necessary equipment/parts from approved vendors and follow up to ensure that the items are received
Make routine inspections, document inspections and repairs, perform scheduled maintenance and run tests after making repairs or performing maintenance
Know and follow all regulations set by the FAA

Requirements
What we are looking for:
3 years minimum experience as a corporate aviation A&P Mechanic
Part 91/135 knowledge required
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide-variety of cross-disciplines to provide up-to-date technical information as it applies to an aircraft fleet
Self Starter mentality: must be able to work independently at times

Troubleshooting: Mechanics need to be able to understand the root causes of aircraft problems and how to correct those problems.
Travel Required: must be able to travel on short notice. Travel is about 25%.
Must have the ability to work a schedule of 4 10 hour shifts.
Must have his/her own standard mechanic/maintenance tools. Company will provide specialty servicing tools.
Special Requirements:
Current A&P FAA License
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, restricted licenses are not valid for employment at Jet Center Los Angeles
Pass FAA Drug and Alcohol testing, background checks and submit to random drug test when required
Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
Physical Demands:
Stepping up/down on ladders, tugs and fuel trucks
Bending and squatting to lift equipment, up to 75lbs
Standing and walking for extended periods of time, running when required
Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
