We have an exciting position open within Caterpillar seeking a Senior Accountant to join Resource Industries Operations and Products (RIOP Division) Finance Team. This position will work with the eight global RIOP Operations facilities along with all RIOP product groups. RIOP is a dynamic global division consisting of a portfolio of prime products, components, and services that meet the needs of clients and customers through manufacturing, engineering, design, commercial, and support teams located globally.
In this role you will regularly use your strong business judgement & robust problem-solving abilities to help functional leaders drive value through the enterprise. This position will be regularly exposed to a variety of accounting functions, accomplish a high level of complex and/or technical analysis, and make business decisions and recommendations as appropriate. This role will also encourage you to demonstrate and develop your communication and presentation skills, along with providing avenues to interact regularly with facility & Resource Industries Finance management.
What you will do:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) lead for RIOP manufacturing facilities responsible for consolidation and analysis of actual results and forecasting cycles.
Financial reporting system (Axiom) expert for RIOP Ops team responsible for developing reports, validate/improve data, system support/development, etc.
FP&A Lead for RIOP Divisional results for variable labor & burden and freight
Collaborate and lead FP&A activities across all eight global manufacturing facilities
Lead for RIOP Ops OneStream financial reporting system install initiative
Develop executive level presentations and analysis of results for RIOP leadership and Division CFO
Participate in strategic studies on leading manufacturing initiatives on automation & digital factory
What you have:
Education Experience: 4-year degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business-related degree; 4+ years of job-related experience
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Financial Analysis : Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent
MBA, master's degree in accounting, or equivalent
SAP experience
Prior experience with or willingness to learn tools such as Axiom, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

This position will be located in our South Milwaukee, WI office with alternative location options (Decatur, IL; East Peoria, IL; Peoria, IL; Denison, TX)
This role is a full time, hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range: $108,360.00 - $162,480.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
