Responsibilities:
Research and Conceptualize: Research and develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications for new products and aftermarket solutions.
Integrate : Architect and integrate new products, components, and technologies into our machines.
Lead and Execute: Take charge of technical design evolution, project planning, performance analysis, and development testing. Lead, execute, and complete your own projects as required.
Collaborate: Partner with multifunctional teams to oversee designs from concept to machine integration at customer sites.
Innovate: Monitor, explore, and test new technologies, materials, and components to identify improvement opportunities.
Customer Focus: Understand customer needs, product applications, and cost drivers to deliver exceptional solutions.
Degree Requirement: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Top candidates will also have:
Experience with Electric Rope Shovels or other Mining Equipment. Experience with Heavy structures, powertrains, electrical systems, and/or high-voltage electronics.
Additional Information:
The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ.
This position may require 15% travel.
Summary Pay Range: $108,360.00 - $162,480.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
