Job Description:

Salary/Position Classification


  • $14.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

  • 20 hours per week

  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No

  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No


Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired into this position.
Guide students in their career development journey, including but not limited to resume writing, cover letter writing, interviewing, etc., assist with in-class and group presentations, and complete additional tasks as requested. We welcome both on-campus and online student


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one or in groups with current UND students and alumni to assist with career-related development

  • Support full-time staff members as needed (i.e., providing coverage at campus-wide events, engage in outreach activities, present at campus organization meetings, provide drop-in virtual support, etc.).

  • Provide support in alternate locations across campus, such as the Library Knowledge Commons or academic colleges as needed

  • Ensure a welcoming and supportive experience for students utilizing the Career Closet, respecting diverse backgrounds and preferences, and track and document chosen items

  • Support the mission and vision of Career Services and the Student Academic Success & Career Engagement unit

  • Utilize Microsoft Office, including TEAMS, for effective communication and collaboration with team members

  • Manage, track, and document student appointments through Hawk Central

  • Provide reception coverage when necessary

  • Complete additional tasks as requested by the Experiential Learning staff or other staff members of Student Academic Success & Career Engagement

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be in good academic standing

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TEAMS)

  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
