What to Expect
The IT Project Portfolio Management Associate is responsible to develop deliverables and reporting to communicate high level progress of IT initiatives and work closely with IT teams to successfully implement initiatives within the IT strategic roadmap. This Associate will work closely with senior managers and SMEs to develop an approach for IT resource / capacity planning to ensure that resources are effectively aligned to internal and enterprise project schedules.
What You Will Do
1. IT Portfolio Oversight and Reporting: Ensure completeness of IT project and portfolio reporting. Support the Senior management team in establishing and maintaining an overview of active IT initiatives. Prepare bi-weekly and monthly reports across initiatives for IT Leadership. Monitor, track, and communicate progress against plan, risks, and issues across initiatives.
2. Oversight of IT Initiatives: Work closely with IT teams to track progress against target capability building and internal IT initiatives. Engage initiative leads to identify and address risks and issues in a timely manner; support PPM Leadership team in facilitating collaboration and inclusivity amongst stakeholders to resolve any risks / issues / obstacles.
3. IT Resource Planning: Work with IT Teams to forecast future resource capacity and develop a framework and reporting cadence on existing resource utilization. Use data to support identification of areas where under resourced; develop recommendations on adjusting project timing to alleviate bottlenecks.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
• Minimum 2-4 years related experience including supporting high-risk, high-visibility projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience with and knowledge of project and change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Working knowledge of Excel and various project and portfolio management platform(s).
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong relationships.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organization and time/project management skills
• Understanding of project, portfolio, Waterfall and Agile techniques
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
• General knowledge and/or working experience within a global IT organization
• Familiarity with the functioning of a PMO and steering committee structure
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
