Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Senior Environmental Engineer (or Scientist) will be a member within the Remediation team responsible for managing a portfolio of remediation sites, as assigned, in multiple states. The hired employee will work at the Enterprise corporate office in Houston with less than 10% travel requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for a portfolio of remediation projects with the expectation of moving the projects through the remediation process from initial assessment to closure or long-term O&M.
Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of assessment, remediation, and closure strategies for assigned remediation projects.
Responsible for managing third-party environmental consultants engaged in project management and field support related to environmental projects.
Ability to thoroughly review technical reports, scopes of work, and proposals relating to the projects.
Provide expertise to internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Legal, Accounting, etc.). regarding the environmental projects.
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with government agencies/personnel.
Ensures that all financial aspects of assigned projects, such as environmental liability reserves and annual budgets, are prepared and maintained.
Keeping all data tracking tools updated throughout a remediation site's lifecycle.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or environmental science in a related field is required.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant soil and groundwater remediation experience is required, preferably in industry or consulting.
High propensity in managing sites that contain LNAPL.
Experience working within different state regulatory frameworks with an emphasis on Texas (RRC and TCEQ), New Mexico (OCD and NMED), and Louisiana (LDEQ).
Professional licensing (e.g. PE, EIT, PG, GIT) is desirable
Knowledge of the midstream industry, preferably with basic understanding of NGL and gas processing, crude and refined products storage and loading operations, and the pipeline industry is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
Candidate must have strong analytical skills and exhibit an attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels both internally and externally.
