The American Automobile Association (AAA) has been a leader in roadside assistance, mobility advocacy, and traffic safety for nearly 120 years. AAA Washington also operates a full-service travel agency and the largest independent personal-lines insurance agency in Washington.
As a Sr HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for strategically partnering with business units and HR leadership to drive decisions and support company objectives. Additionally, this role provides process improvement across the organization from an HR lens. This is a hybrid role.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for all aspects of the employee life cycle for the assigned business unit, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, leave management, employee recognition and development, HR processes, procedures, and operations.
Oversee process creation for HR systems and practices, utilizing continuous improvement knowledge, metrics and data.
Collaborate with HR leadership on complex projects such as policy, compensation or systems implementations.
Be responsible for analyzing business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
Ensure data integrity of all HR-related transactions in HRIS and related systems.
Collaborate with HR leadership to develop recommendations and assists with the implementation of assigned HR program areas and strategies, playing a key role in streamlining HR processes and leading projects as assigned.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (BA) in business, human resources, or related field or related experience
5+ years' progressive experience in human resources
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ year experience in automotive, travel or insurance industry preferred.
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and the LOA process
Experience with Worker's Comp and Injured Workers.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

The salary range is $ 77,000 - $94,000 based on candidate experience. This is a hybrid position.
