Senior Associate - Employment Defense

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)



We are seeking a proactive, strategic attorney passionate about employment defense litigation. This role involves managing high-level cases, engaging with sophisticated clients, and collaborating within a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate thrives in court, excels at case management, and enjoys working both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead employment litigation cases from initiation to resolution.

  • Represent clients during court appearances as needed.

  • Conduct regular client meetings and provide direct representation.

  • Advise clients on employment law matters, including discrimination, leave policies, and compliance.

  • Establish and pursue professional development goals collaboratively.


Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of experience in employment defense litigation.

  • Jury trial experience strongly preferred.


Skill Set:



  • Strong litigation and courtroom skills.

  • Ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively to junior associates and staff.

  • High emotional intelligence with a strong client service focus.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and humble.

  • A book of business is not required but is welcomed.

  • Senior-level candidates will be considered for a partnership track and succession planning.


Compensation and Benefits:



  • Salary: $175,000 - $230,000 (DOE)

  • Bonuses: Discretionary, tied to firm profitability
