Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential functions satisfactorily:
Act as the site safety leader and ensure that all functions of employees, including handling of equipment and maintenance activities, are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with company and regulatory policies.
Enforce operating procedures and work standards that will ensure adequate performance.
Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in asphalt plant maintenance.
Oversee major plant rebuilds and capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments, and act as Plant Manager backup when needed.
Communicate with Plant Managers and Production Manager as needed and coordinate all asphalt plant maintenance activities.
Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to align with maintenance, production and performance goals.
Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Conduct employee training in equipment operations, work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers
Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for employees.
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
Identify and resolve regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems, either directly or indirectly, in a timely and effective manner.
Study and follow all applicable regulations affecting asphalt maintenance crews and plant production, safety environmental, state, federal, and company policies; ensure observance of such regulations; and ensure compliance with all regulations and permit conditions.
Scanning, indexing, sorting, and data entry of supplier invoices, as required.
Utilize basic computer skills to input daily production, labor, and equipment data.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production performance.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
5-10+ years supervisory experience in a plant/industrial environment preferred.
High school degree preferred.
Valid state driver's license
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Strong written and oral communication skills
Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
Substantial interpersonal skills
Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
Priority emphasis and strong time management skills
Travel may be required
Basic computer and mobile device skills
