Lonza has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior EHS Specialist at our Greenwood, SC site! This role offers the chance to lead and coordinate our Safety, Health, and Environmental programs. As part of Lonza, you will work on complex issues and develop detailed solutions that support our high-reaching business goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Program Implementation/Enforcement – Work alongside site employees and contractors to understand and achieve the objectives of the site EHS program.


• EHS Project Management – Develop projects and lead teams to achieve improvements in site EHS performance.


• Risk Assessments/Resolution – Participate in and lead EHS risk assessments for new operations, equipment, and process changes. Efficiently implement solutions to resolve all EHS concerns.


• Process Safety Management – Collaborate with collaborators to develop a fully compliant PSM program.


• Program Development – Develop comprehensive site EHS programs to meet regulatory compliance, prevent injuries, and protect the environment.


• Recordkeeping/Reporting – Collect and maintain data and records for EHS compliance and reporting.


• Inspections and Audits – Conduct and coordinate EHS inspections and audits, including internal inspections, corporate, regulatory, and customer audits.


• Training – Prepare and deliver EHS training and education to employees and contractors working at the site.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience from an accredited institution.


• Minimum 5 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety experience preferred.


• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Professional Certifications in a related field are preferred.


• Proven track record of leading strong safety and risk reduction programs as measured by industry reporting standards and Safety/Environmental compliance responsibilities.


• Prior development and implementation of process risk assessment programs is required.


• Experience within a cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) environment is desired.
