Salary: $85,669 - $107,086 exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.

AHF Products has a job opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in Kankakee, IL. Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, this role will play a crucial role in visualizing, designing, planning, and executing engineering projects to improve performance through increased uptime and to address shortcomings that reduce employee interaction with the equipment. Occasional travel may be required.

JOB DUTIES:

• Design, install, troubleshoot, and evaluate manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.


• Estimate costs, production timelines, and staffing needs for new designs.


• Collaborate with production teams to meet objectives and train on new methods.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to designs, materials, or processes.


• Collaborate with maintenance technicians to repair and maintain equipment.


• Lead the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of:
  
  
  
  • Industrial manufacturing systems.
  
  
  • Low-voltage electrical distribution systems (24 VAC/VDC to 480 AC).
  
  
  • Electrical safety circuits.
  
  
  • Programmable Logic Systems (PLC, HMI, VFD, etc.).
  
  
  
  


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and contributing to team projects.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering


• Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing or similar processes, including at least 5 years in manufacturing equipment field service/repair or similar roles.


• LEAN Certification or prior experience a plus

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions


• Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present solutions and recommendations clearly and concisely


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
