What You Will Contribute:




The Credit and Collection Analyst is primarily responsible for contacting customers regarding deductions they have taken from invoices and following up on customers who are past due with Badger Meter, primarily for non-financial reasons. This position also requires the ability to back up the rest of the Credit Department with some clerical functions.



Job Duties:



  • Contact customers to collect past due invoices.


  • Set up new customers in the system and verify address, tax exemption status and invoice delivery.


  • Spot check customer orders for accuracy, verify that the purchase order matches the order for bill to address, ship to address, invoice delivery and dollar totals.


  • Confer with clients to verify their financial/credit transactions and resolve disputes.


  • Enter invoices online for certain customers.


  • Contact customers who deduct sales tax.





Education and Experience:



  • High school degree/GED required


  • 3+ years of related experience preferred





Qualifications:



  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
