Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this position is responsible for developing new business and expanding existing business within assigned territory, while leveraging Kaleidoscope teams. With assistance from the broader Kaleidoscope team, the incumbent will present the company’s services and grow the overall book of business.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Business Development (60%)

  2. Responsible for developing new business and expanding existing business

Responsible for bringing new calls and opportunities to larger Sales Team

  • Proactively lead account development within all lines of business within the territory

Work with all facets of Kaleidoscope to drive engagement and interest in the individual business units

  • Produce and deliver sales proposals and presentations that exemplifying Kaleidoscope unique capabilities and DNA

Methods of Sales targeting include cold-calling, LinkedIn, Email, Tradeshow, General Internal Networking, etc.


  • Proactively seek and develop new business opportunities (whether through telesales / phone, social media, networking events, pounding the pavement for in-person meetings, and/or any means to reach new clients and share KA capabilities)

  • Educate the client by promoting the extensive services offerings of Kaleidoscope

  • With assistance from the broader Kaleidoscope team, he/she will present the company's services, assist with Requests for Proposals (RFP)/Quotes, push for new business opportunities and grow the overall book of business

  • Will have target of new relationships to develop per quarter, and will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to meet these targets

Volumetric metrics will be used to assess individual performance; Weekly, monthly and quarterly outputs will be measured and evaluated


  1. Reporting/Administrative (20%)

  2. Maintain an ongoing contact database and report sales activities in weekly meetings and in Kaleidoscope CRM & Salesforce

  3. Produce and deliver sales proposals and presentations that exemplifying Kaleidoscope unique capabilities and DNA


  1. Collaboration (20%)

  2. Effectively interface with the operational teams including product designers, interaction designers, engineers, machinists, graphic designers, strategists, and visualization designers. Understand how and when to bring in resources, both internal and external, and how to communicate the vision to them in an actionable way.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

  • Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related fields.

5+ years of experience in attracting clients for new business opportunities

  • Experience identifying prospective clients and establishing contacts

Track record of proven success of driving new business and revenue to the organization

Licenses/Credentials/Certifications

  • None Required

  • Utilizes negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Displays professional presentation, communication and writing skills (responds to RFP’s and develops proposals)

  • Organizational skills; able to set priorities while being responsive to Business Partners and client requests

  • Drives and maintains client relationships (requires empathetic listening, strategic thinking and effective story telling)

  • Prioritizes and completes tasks in order to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames

  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and clients

  • Critical thinker demonstrated by checking thinking for clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, significance, logic, and fairness

  • Manages time / territory / targets

  • Remains motivated to accomplish goals in the face of obstacles or adversity

  • Understands the needs and desires of prospective clients and uses this knowledge to help them sustain an emotional connection and motivate them to take action

  • Handles sensitive information and maintain highest level of confidentiality

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working Hours


  • Office hours minimum 40 hour work week - Monday through Friday

  • Will require additional hours including evening and weekends depending on business needs


Tools and Equipment Used

  • Personal computer, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment

Travel

  • Moderate travel up to 50% of time, to prospect and conduct meetings with clients and Kaleidoscope meetings.

Physical & Mental Demands


  • Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long period of time

  • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment

  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.

  • Ability to speak to and hear clients/employees via phone or in person

  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around the office environment and/or to and from client operations and within multi-office locations

  • Ability to analyze unique situations and develop appropriate response

  • Additional Physical Requirements: file, speak, write, hear, read, type, see

  • Additional Mental Requirements: compare, decide, direct, problem solve, analyze, instruct, interpret


Environment

  • Work typically performed in an office setting

  • Frequently travel by car, train or plane
