Position Summary:
The Employee Engagement Specialist develops relationships with new employees to ensure a positive onboarding experience, including successful integration into the department and campus culture. This is a new position and will require creativity and vision to develop new processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Works closely with department hiring managers to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new employees
Works closely with Employee Training & Development Coordinator to develop new engagement and development opportunities for all staff
Helps manage new employee experience by sending out a 30-day survey to new hires, leading campus tours, and assisting with other areas of the onboarding process
Assists new hires with first-day tasks, such as obtaining parking passes, getting campus IDs issued, and campus tours
Works closely with Employee Training & Development Coordinator to create engagement opportunities for all staff
Assists Employee Training and Development Coordinator with welcome boxes for new hires
Serves as backup for Employee Training and Development Coordinator

General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:
The educational equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree.
At least two (2) years of Human Resources or related experience.
