Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. Position Summary:

Serve as Director of the UNC Advanced Translational Pharmacology and Analytical Chemistry (ATPAC) Lab in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and UNC Lineberger Cancer Center. This position will be responsible for directing bioanalytical research projects by designing, implementing, performing and delegating relevant preclinical and clinical pharmacology analytical experiments; assisting with the construction of grant proposals and manuscripts, research reports, performing analytical and pharmacokinetic (PK) analyses; supervising junior staff, and general lab management activities.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Minimum of three years experience in laboratory operations within analytical chemistry and or clinical pharmacology, and experience with developing, validating, and implementing liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry assays.
