The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Office of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing patient care, providing quality assurance, maintaining infection control, administering regulatory compliance and preserving fiscal stability. The Office of Clinical Operations is an integral part of the School and their primary mission is to provide the highest quality education and training to students and to provide the highest quality dental treatment available for patients.
The Admission Coordinator is primarily responsible for administrative duties for Patient Admissions and Urgent Care. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, patient assignments and onboarding new patients with the aim of facilitating student's patient care experience. This position will also provide service by streamlining the online admissions process and execute various administrative functions for Patient Admissions, Urgent Care, and other Student Clinic areas.
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Candidate must have very strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). Candidate must have strong organizational skills and the ability to investigate and solving inquiries. Strong attention to detail, working knowledge of computer applications, and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Prior work experience in a dental/medical office setting, and experience with Epic (Patient Management System).
