Job Description
Responsible for oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the Senator Bob Hooper House. Manages residential hospice staff and oversight of non-clinical patient care needs and satisfaction in partnership with the selected hospice provider. Serves as primary contact, resource and liaison between UM UCH, the selected hospice provider & inpatient hospice residents, their families and is the Assisted Living Manager per the requirements by the State of Maryland. This position supports the UCH Foundation and is responsible to and for preparation and oversight of the UCH Residential Hospice House, Inc. Board and its committees in activities involving the daily and long-term operations and ongoing fundraising needs of UCH Residential Hospice House(s). Individual manages the coordination of patient care needs within the hospice philosophy throughout all levels of care. Serves as manager, mentor, resource, and liaison primarily for the hospice interdisciplinary team and all UM UCH Team Members and volunteers assigned to the hospice residence. Responsible for the development and implementation of the annual budget and the direct oversight of all financial affairs related to the hospice residence to include the hiring and termination of all staff.
