Job Description:

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is to release a new facilities operations and maintenance contracts for DOL headquarters.

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides background information on the facility O&M contracts.

This is part-time, remote, opportunity.

Work involves the following tasks:


  • Assist in defining DOL acquisition strategy.

  • Determine strengths/weakness of existing DOL O&M contractors.

  • Define DOL hot buttons.

  • Define DOL key decision makers.

  • Determine status of DOL work management systems.

  • Define unique equipment issues at different DOL locations.

Each contract performs the following critical functions:


  • HVAC operation and maintenance.

  • Electrical system O&M.

  • Energy management control system (EMCS).

  • Air handling equipment.

  • Service orders.

  • Minor construction.

  • Hot water industrial heating.

  • Steam heating plant operations.

  • Equipment management.

The SME reports directly to NVE Capture Manager for the new EPA contract opportunity.
