**Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Network Management:** Manage and maintain multi-terabyte data center networks. 2. **Infrastructure Planning:** Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks. 3. **Install and Configure:** Install, configure, and support data center network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. 4. **Monitoring and Maintenance:** Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed. 5. **Security:** Ensure network security and connectivity, monitor network access, and maintain firewalls. 6. **Vendor Coordination:** Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of new systems technologies; oversee installation and resolve adaptation issues. 7. **Documentation:** Document network configurations and changes. 8. **Disaster Recovery:** Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery. 9. **Performance Analysis:** Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. 10. **User Support:** Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Position requires weekly travel: anywhere between Oxnard, Palmdale, Redlands, Laguna mileage will be paid through travel & expense, candidates will need to submit travel expenses
**Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Network Administrator, with experience in data center environments. - In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF). - Familiarity with access control models and network security. - Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. - Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) is strongly desired.
