Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Optimize the spend on ads with multi objective goals to maximize revenue and increase web traffic. Work on computing performance metrics for Walmart ads like revenue return on ad spend and click through rate for the ads displayed. Build dashboards that bring out insights from the vast amounts data and use readily available tools in the market like Tableau and Google Data Studio. Build dashboards for ads performance measured at the department or category levels. Use statistical and analytical modeling techniques to bring out insights and places where the performance of the program can be improved. Utilize ETL pipelines to gather signals needed for Deep Learning AI models. Gather and deliver the necessary marketing signals for the different Artificial Intelligence (AI) models that are used in calculating the optimal bids for the ads. Utilize Airflow to build the data needed to power analytical dashboards. Utilize SQL, PySpark, Python, and R programming languages for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark to process and analyze large volumes of data efficiently. Assist data scientists to fulfill their daily data requirements for optimization models by providing the marketing signals. Develop marketing signals for SEM Spend Optimizations leveraging Sales, Marketing, and Clickstream datasets. Deliver newer models to improve performance and profitability, develop various attribution models, and build needed datasets and reporting dashboards. Build data pipelines and API integrations for tighter and smoother integrations with in house and external partner dashboards. Identify and address data discrepancies. Oversee reports in multiple dashboards and validate the accuracy of the reported data.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Technology, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
Skills required: Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL. Experience with data cleaning and preprocessing. Experience analyzing data using statistical techniques and tools to identify patterns, trends, and relationships. Experience presenting data using graphs, charts, and tables in Tableau and Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL, PySpark, Python, and R programming languages for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Experience with database management systems (DBMS) for storing, retrieving, and managing data. Experience preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Experience identifying and resolving issues related to data quality, analysis, and reporting, and developing solutions. Experience with data processing including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop and Spark. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $112,655/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
