Shipping and Receiving Assistant- $21-$22/hour at Solar Atmospheres of San Diego Inc in el cajon, California

Job Description:

Solar Atmospheres is a leader in providing vacuum heat treating and brazing services of the highest possible quality. We are currently looking for a Shipping Assistant to join our busy production facility in El Cajon, CA. This role will work Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm.

The ideal candidate should be reliable and punctual with a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred. However, willing to train motivated individuals, which possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activity to ensure accuracy and condition of material.
Scan incoming paperwork, create and/or update orders, plus produce labels through internal software to identify product.
Ship and update shop orders in the company computer system.
Properly pack parts to prevent damage when shipped.
Maintain cleanliness and orderly shipping/receiving area
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Reliable, organized and ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Prior shipping and/or receiving experience preferred
Able to lift, bend, reach and stand on a daily basis and for period of time.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions in English.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Ability to multitask, prioritize work and overcome obstacles to obtain positive results.

Pay -$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
