Reporting to the Director, Global Maintenance & Reliability, the Global Reliability Engineer is responsible for increasing asset reliability through the development, implementation and ongoing governance of reliability tools, methods, and practices across all sterilization modalities in all global facilities.
This position requires extensive hands-on reliability experience, knowledge and skills based upon the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Activities will span the entire asset lifecycle including design, build, installation, commissioning, precision maintenance & operation, defect elimination, preventive and predictive maintenance, etc. The hands-on nature of this position will require engineering and/or maintenance-based experience in mechanical and electrical equipment, preferably those used in manufacturing processes and facilities.
The Global Reliability Engineer will work in a highly matrixed organization, and will liaise routinely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, OpEx, Purchasing, Legal and Finance as required to ensure stakeholder alignment.
Due to the nature of operations the incumbent may be required to be available for specific operations or projects.
Ability travel to facilities 30-60% will be necessary.
Principal Responsibilities
Extensive reliability experience, knowledge, and skills
Working knowledge of CMMS systems (Hexagon EAM preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Implement proven reliability tools, methods, and practices to improve equipment reliability.
Facilitate and participate in technical studies and root cause failure analyses on equipment and develop action plans to prevent failures.
Recommend and implement improved engineering designs and procedures through collaboration with operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers.
Facilitate training sessions and assist in the identification of skill development needs for facility personnel to improve reliability.
Develop, implement, and manage a robust predictive maintenance program including oil analysis, ultrasound, infrared, vibration, and motor circuit analysis.
Utilize predictive maintenance tools in the commissioning of new equipment.
Develop and implement precision maintenance practices such as balancing, alignment and lubrication.
Develop and implement an electrical distribution system reliability program.
Develop and implement a steam and condensate reliability program.
Provide equipment troubleshooting assistance and expertise.
Participate in the Capex and R&M budget processes.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline required.
A minimum of 8 years' experience in a comparable Reliability Engineer role is highly preferred.
Experience implementing RCM and TPM maintenance approaches.
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) highly preferred
Experience in an FDA regulated environment.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Mechanical systems knowledge - HVAC, fluid flow, boilers, chillers, pumps, valves, conveyance systems, etc.
Operational Excellence experience: 6S, Six Sigma, SMED, RCA, etc.
Familiar with P&IDs
French and/or Spanish as a second language is advantageous.
Computer skills - Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and CMMS
Additional Requirements
Assist with the management of budget, expenses, and P&L responsibilities.
Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to travel 30 - 60%.
