The Woolwich Distribution site is one of two new U.S. distribution hubs opened within the last year to enhance and streamline our delivery operations. We're aiming to elevate the customer experience and generate cost savings with state-of-the-art technology and standardized processes. But none of it can happen without you - the people who power our operations and ensure that our customers receive our life-saving therapies when they need them.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Primary contact for deploying the Medtronic Production System (MPS) in a distribution facility.

  • Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a distribution facility.

  • Trains and coaches operational leaders and employees regarding the implementation of the MPS.

  • Works collaboratively with operations leadership to deploy annual strategies and roadmaps.

  • Leads a cross-functional team to achieve annual programmatic cost savings.

  • Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards, improve efficiencies, increase through-put and optimize product flow as well as production yields for existing products.

  • May develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work.

  • Uses data analytics and problem-solving tools to solve complex issues.

  • Organizes and leads cross-functional teams for kaizen events and gemba walks.

  • Assists in the management of multiple tier boards in the facility.

  • Ensures processes and procedures meet all regulatory requirements.

Must-Have: Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Requires a Baccalaureate degree or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice-to-Have:

Additionally, the following skills and qualifications are desirable:

Engineering degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

End-to-end project management

Ability to work independently, self-starter

Experience in process flow, time studies

Experience with Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Six-sigma, DMAIC

Automation experience, preferably robotics in distribution

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$97,600.00 - $146,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
