Job Description



The Senior Analyst, Financial Systems & Reporting assists the country in completing all the Financial Reporting requirements. They are responsible for performing reconciliations, closing and post-closing requirements, internal and external audit, intercompany transactions, and sustainability. In addition, they are responsible for the accounting of the parent (holding) company including the allocation to the businesses as well as ensuring that the current accounting system, as well as any tools used by the North American Region, are maintained according to the regional and local requirements.



This role had a hybrid schedule working 2 days in the Rutherford, NJ office.



  • Completes of all the reporting requirements in the US including HFM, Sustainability, and post-closing requirements.

  • Completes all IT and HR Financial support including processing of all IT invoices.

  • Processes and reconciles all corporate accounts including payment, allocation and accruals needed for these accounts including consolidated invoices.

  • Manages accruals and other distribution of costs/payments required for the entire US such as corporate credit cards, consolidated benefits, and rebates.

  • Completes daily cash reconciliation, weekly loan reconciliations and monthly all intercompany reconciliations.

  • Performs maintenance of the accounting system such as chart of accounts, allocations, statistical accounts and/or any enhancements required for the system, including testing and reporting.

  • Creates and maintains all US Fixed Assets, including the roll forward of the account.

  • Updates financial reporting tools developed.

  • Supports of the sub-ledgers and all activities associated with it.

  • Complies with all internal controls and processes designed for the country.

  • Assists other countries within the region in data verification.

  • Ensures completion of all internal and external audit requirements.

  • Assists in the accounting of the Holding company including closing requirements.

  • Maintains confidentiality of figures or any financial data.

  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.




Qualifications




Education and Experience




Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • 4+ years of relevant Finance and Accounting experience

  • Demonstrated background in financial reporting and intimate understanding of GAAP, including a proven track record of supervising day-to-day accounting operations and cash management.

  • Experience in financial/KPI monitoring, with the ability to explain variance to target and implement 'early warning' indicator for adverse trends.


Preferred:



  • Experience with M&A transactions and purchase accounting

  • Knowledge and understanding all the designs, workflows, procedures, internal controls, logic and requirements for the US in order to provide support and back-up

  • Strong business acumen/business awareness with solid technical and analytical background

  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational and inter-personal skills

  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines

  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations to different levels of management

  • Ability to motivate teams and lead through influence

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings

  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly demanding environment

  • Language Skills: English - Advanced level proficiency

  • Mathematical Skills: Advanced level proficiency


Computer Skills



  • MS Office Excel - Expert user level skills

  • MS Office Word and PowerPoint - Intermediate user proficiency

  • Well-versed in financial systems (Oracle, HFM)
