Our client is seeking an InfoSphere CDC Engineer for a remote opportunity.


Role Description


About the Role:
We are seeking an InfoSphere CDC Engineer to join our team.


Responsibilities:
• Install and Configure CDC(Change Data Capture) Agents:Install and configure CDC Agents for two data sources and one target.
• Setup CDC Access Server and Management Console:Install and configure the CDC Access Server and Management Console to manage and monitor CDC activities.
• Create Target Tables:Create target tables in SQL Server on Azure, including LiveAudit columns to track changes.
• Build CDC Subscriptions and Table Mappings:Develop CDC subscriptions and table mappings for approximately 60 Db2 for iSeries tables and 39 MS SQL Server on-premises tables.
• Data Validation and Verification:Validate and verify the number of records replicated from sources to the target to ensure data integrity.
• Create CDC Notifications and Alerts:Set up CDC notifications and alerts. Support the integration of these notifications and alerts into the enterprise event reporting platform (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Knowledge Transfer and Documentation:Provide knowledge transfer and create documentation using customer-provided templates to ensure smooth handover and understanding of CDC processes.


Skills & Requirements


Must Haves:
• Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) technology and tools.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, including Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with Db2 for iSeries and MS SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of data replication and data integrity principles.
• Experience with enterprise event reporting platforms like ServiceNow.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
