Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company's key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position

We are currently seeking a Production Planner in our West Hartford location to plan materials for specific production flow lines, in line with MRP system requirements, and to ensure appropriate and effective levels of available on-hand inventory. Reporting into the Planning Manager, this role is an integral part of a larger dedicated planning team where collaboration is required to ensure targets are met and procedures are always followed. The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment, ensures that this function is continuously improving, adds value to the organization, and collaborates with various Company disciplines to achieve on-time delivery and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

•Raise purchase requisitions and work orders from MRP system to ensure timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements.
•Process MRP exception messages to suit production planning requirements.
•Perform weekly cycle counts to attain 99% or greater accuracy.
•Implement and maintain Kanban processes.
•Collaborate with Business Development and Contracts to understand demand forecast drivers.
•Use and maintain MRP data as the primary planning system tool.
•Provide input in developing departmental strategies for inventory on existing items, new product introduction and phase outs.
•Perform related inventory transactions into the ERP system.
•Create statistical reports requiring:
oGathering, analyzing, and validating data.
oSharing data with relevant departments and external suppliers.
•Work with demand and forecasting, incorporating current and accurate information. Provide Supply Chain with appropriate information to allow Purchasing to meet demand.
•Execute with excellence around stock and demand replenishment providing feedback to the supply chain on risks regarding replenishment levels and demand.

Qualifications

•Bachelor's in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Technical, or a related discipline.
•Minimum of 1 years of directly related experience in a planning/scheduling role within a manufacturing electronics environment.
•MRP Experience a MUST.
•Intermediate level of Microsoft Office competencies.
•Experience in statistical reporting, forecasting, and understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting.
•Knowledge of Supply Chain Process/Supplier Interface/Purchase Order Placement.
•Understanding of Business Terms and Conditions. Strong Business Writing and Communication Skills.
