What You Will Do:

As a Project Engineer at WSB, you will have the opportunity to lead the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for both public and private clients. This is a growth opportunity with unlimited potential to make a difference and advance your career. Your role will involve:

  • Leading key projects: Manage roadway, drainage, and utility designs, delivering impactful infrastructure solutions to our clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams within the company, contributing to high-quality projects and exceptional client service.
  • Hands-on design work: Perform critical tasks such as 3D modeling, roadway design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation.
  • Client and project management: Assist with proposals, project budgets, schedules, planning activities, public involvement, and other presentation opportunities.
  • Mentorship: Oversee and mentor Engineers in Training (EITs) and Technicians, guiding their professional growth and development.
  • Career progression: As you advance, take on additional responsibilities such as directing and coordinating project activities, ensuring successful delivery within timeframes and budgets, and managing client and subconsultant relationships.

What You Will Bring:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar degree from an accredited institution).
  • 4-10 years of experience in transportation design, particularly with FDOT and/or municipal clients.
  • Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
  • The ability to prepare, read, and understand construction plans and technical documents.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • A Florida PE license (preferred), or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic to excel in both technical and client-facing roles.
