We are seeking a Technical Accounting Manager DAS to join American Tower's U.S. Accounting team. The Accounting team properly records and reports the Company's U.S. Tower division's revenue and direct expenses for both the tower and managed networks businesses. Day to day you will own the accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and controls relating to the company's Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) activities. As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will partner cross-functionally to ensure that Managed Networks business leaders are able to make informed decisions.
What You Can Offer Us
Ensure that the various sub-ledger support functions, such as lease abstraction, lease administration, billing, credit collections and accounts payable) are effectively supporting and meeting the needs of the DAS
Develop a deep understanding of customer contracts, leases and vendor contracts; design and implement Oracle solutions that are compliant with both GAAP and internal accounting
Ensure that the general accounting activities) are executed in a way that supports the needs of the DAS business and is compliance with both GAAP and the Company's accounting
Enhance the effectiveness of the control framework over all DAS activities while ensuring that the Sarbanes-Oxley Act controls that relate to the DAS business are operating
Bridge historical and current financial information into the budgeting and forecasting process. Support the Company's SG&A process that is led by Finance
Support annual, quarterly and ad hoc analyses (including ARO, Impairment, Land Rent Reserve, Intercompany Projects, etc)
Develop relationships with other accounting, finance and operational teams (including corporate accounting team, sales, etc) and interface with Global Business Service organization
As an Accounting Manager - DAS, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management and career development of a team of Accountants. You'll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business

What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of 8 years of experience working with financial reporting packages in either an audit or close environment required.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role required.
CPA preferred.
Up to 10% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
