The Vocational Project Coordinator will administer, monitor, and report out on duties within the Rehabilitative Services Shopette Department. Typically, coordinating supervisory and operational responsibilities to ensure full performance, proper documentation, and service provision needs are met. Responsible for day-to-day operation of the rehabilitative project, and employees performing job tasks under the project. May serve as a liaison between the organization and other outside organizations.

Projects have included, but are not limited to: Grants, Procurement, Vocational Supervision and inter-departmental oversight.

Pay Range & Benefits:



$30.05/hr - $62,504/yr




Spanish Language Differential: $2.50/hr

Responsibilities
& Duties:



• Ensure compliance with MHCD policies, State and other regulatory policies regarding clinical care and documentation.

• Develop work flow, channels of communication, and procedures for the project.

• Assist with the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs of the team. Ensure compliance of established budget.

• Assist with all inventory ordering for Shopette inventory

• Complete comprehensive vocational assessments, utilizing aptitude, interest and other assessment tools.

• Coordinate with other rehabilitative services, staff, and support, as well as with primary treatment clinicians. Coordinate care between the rehabilitation department and the clinical teams.

• Develop individualized training plans for vocational trainees in the vocational/rehabilitation program.

• Conduct interviews and vocational trainee selection based on thorough assessment of readiness to work and ability to function in a cohesive team setting.

• Coordinate with the front office coordinator on all steps of the hiring and onboarding process.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with clinical teams and the advocate office in relaying clinical observational communication.

• Coordination of vocational trainee activities at assigned work stations/sites at Wellpower.

• Monitor vocational trainee progress and activities documenting areas of growth and improvement.

• Provide necessary training and skills development to vocational trainees per position.

• Complete timely and accurate data, reports and clinical documentation as required.

• Participate in providing on-going supervision to all vocational trainees in the Shopette.

• Conduct rehabilitative and goal-oriented educational opportunities.

• Plan and facilitate weekly meetings/trainings that support person-centered and trauma informed approaches.

• Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.

• Perform other duties as assigned which help vocational trainees work toward competitive employment, while supporting recovery and rehabilitative initiatives.



Requirements & Qualifications:



Education/Experience


• Bachelor degree in rehabilitation or related field and three years of experience in a vocational rehabilitation setting or experience with specific duties of this position required; or,

• Masters degree in vocational rehabilitation or related field; with one year of experience in a vocational rehabilitation setting or experience with specific duties of this position is required.



Skills:


• Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.

• Project planning and management skills - ability to handle complex issues in a timely manner

• Knowledge of vocational community resources and the local community.

• General knowledge of computer technology and ability to learn/utilize Shopette programs (Tableau, Qualtrics, Microsoft Teams, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will supervise interns, and assign work to others.
