POSITION - Union: Meter Reader Collector - Seasonal (TEMP)

LOCATION: NY - Auburn
HOURLY RATE: $26.46
Responsibilities
Read and record electric meter indexes into computerized handheld systems.
Responsible for accurate and timely meter readings of electric and gas meters.
Report hazardous conditions, meter tampering and meter conditions.
Timely completion of assignments.
Assist in ensuring data integrity and customer satisfaction.
Adhere to safety policies and practices.
Maintain current meter location records and maps.
Responsible for protection and maintenance of all assigned company equipment.
Work field collections.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to work in various weather conditions including heat/cold, rain and snow.
Must be willing to work extra hours as required, including storm work.
Must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must successfully complete background check, drug screen and audiogram.
Must be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to complete physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
Previous experience as a meter reader or experience driving a company vehicle a plus but not a requirement.
