Position Summary:

The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Online Student Advisory Board Officer -Secretary - Student Assistant, Remote position.

Summary of Responsibilities include:

  Record, prepare, and distribute accurate minutes for all Online Student Advisory Board ("OSAB") meetings.

  Maintain and organize OSAB documents, records, and correspondence.

  
  

• 
  

  Schedule meetings, send reminders, and communicate updates to Board members.

  
  

• 
  

  Support the Chair and Vice-Chair by managing Board communications and administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Must be enrolled in at least one FAU online course for the fall and spring semesters. Commitment to serving in the role for at least one academic year.


Preferred skills include, but are not limited to, the following:


*Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
*Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
*Comfortable applying or willing to learn a great range of software and technology.
*Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
*Receptive to feedback and willingness to improve skills.


More specifically:


*Prior experience as a secretary or in an administrative support role.
*Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
*Strong written communication skills.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
Salary:$15 - $17 per hour
College or Department:The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE)
Location:Work Remote - Within Florida
Work Days and Hours:Monday - Friday, Part-time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., up to 10 hours per week, some nights and weekends as needed. This is a flexible part-time remote position.
