Scheduling Department Manager - Construction Services
Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking qualified individuals in the Philadelphia and/or New Jersey Region to join the Scheduling Service Group as our Department Manager. This position will report to the Construction Services Lead and be primarily responsible for providing key technical support with scheduling, estimating, constructability, and value engineering for transportation and transit design and construction projects.
Responsibilities
Manage Scheduling Staff, ensuring quality and deliverables are met for both internal and external clients.
Maintain Utilization of Group & support business development in order to meet needs of department and drive growth with clients.
Collaborate and support Constructability & Value Engineering and Estimating departments to meet demand of Construction Service Business Line workload.
Develop and mentor staff.
Develop and/or review cost estimates and CPM schedules during any stage of design development.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide variety of projects including highway, bridge, marine, transit, and rail designs for internal and external customers
Maintain proper documentation for all estimates, schedules, constructability reviews.
Provide estimating, scheduling and constructability support related to value engineering efforts, change order review, programmatic estimates, risk assessments and project control services.
Present deliverables to internal and external clients.
Update and maintain database and computer based office libraries.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Construction Management or related field is required.
10 to 15 years of experience in the contracting and construction management of highway, bridge, marine, transit, and rail along with at least 5 years of construction contractor experience.
PE license is required.
Familiar with estimating and scheduling software.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.
